The 1-1/8" male pin mounts to a light stand. The 1-1/8" receiver allows the mounting of a light fixture without upsetting the center of balance. In between, there is approximately a 1 foot extension arm with a 4-1/2" grip head (Norm's Band). Great for mounting a 4x4 diffusion frame out front of light fixture using just 1 stand.
